OTR Switch Wiring Question

I've ordered my switches from OTR but I'd like to clear up the correct way to wire them before they arrive.

Ideally, they could run on my dimmer switch so that if I wanted to dim them I could, but that's not a deal-breaker, especially if it makes things significantly more complicated. The switches will be fed from a harness I'm making that will be coming from a BlueSea fuseblock that will be on a relay that triggered by the ACC circuit (so the switches will only have power when the key is on).

I've attached a picture with their wiring diagram and a couple of different options on how I was thinking about wiring them up. Obviously, with the second iteration, I know they won't be on the dimmer, but this is how the cheap, prewired switches that I've gotten off amazon were wired in the past. So, is the top configuration correct, and if so, where do I tap into the dimmer?

Also, this might sound stupid, but in an ideal world, I would love for the switches to be "live" (as in, they can trigger the relay that feeds a light) even with the key off, but for the switches themselves to only light up if the key is on. That way, the backlighting on the switches won't be on 24/7 and drain my battery, but, if I wanted to turn on a light and still be able to take my keys and lock my truck while leaving the light on, I could.

I actually bought a panel from amazon and wired it to my Blue Sea. I have the relay that o can open and close when I want. So when I have the truck parked I always open the relay switch so that the battery doesn’t drain. The panel is great because it has the built in volt meter reading my battery when I have everything plugged in on trips. It a good peace of mind especially when I’m running my camp lights.

That panel is nice, I'm considering putting something like that on my golf cart. Unfortunately, it wouldn't fit in a 3rd gen without some serious fab work, which is why I bought the 6 space single din panel from paranoid fabrications. Those mictuning switches are wired like the lower picture in my diagram.

I'm updating this with some info I found in other threads on the site. I haven't tested any of these options out but I'm planning to in the next couple of days and will update with what I find out. My first attempt is going to be to tap into the cigarette outlet illumination wire. It dims the outlet ring, so we will see what happens w/ the switches.

Connect #6 to pretty much any green wire in the dash lighting circuit. If you want that LED to dim with dash, connect #7 to pretty much any white wire with green stripe. If you want full brightness, connect #7 to ground. You can find both those wires at the round dimmer rheostat.

My rocker switches are located under my headunit. So i have a t-tap in the cigarette outlet illumination wire. And this illuminates the lower led on 3 of my rocker switches. No fuses nothing. They are small LED. Don't go crazy here. Simple t-tap and that it. Depending where your switches are. Use a test light to see when it gets power when your headlights are on.
