Outer Tie Rod Ends...

My passenger outer tie rod end is leaking white grease. I see no tear in the boot, but a decent amount of grease has leaked out so I presume I should have it replaced. Does anyone run after market outer tie rod ends with a zerk so that you can pump more grease in or is it just better to have a sealed unit like OEM?
I'll be replacing both sides.

I just replaced both my inners and outers. I stayed OEM for inners as everyone seemed to recommend that. I guess they handle everything better than aftermarket.

For the outers I went with MOOG, but their top end version. I guess MOOG now has three different styles of builds. Basically cheap, regular, and professional. That's not how they word it, but that's basically what they are. I ended up going with the professional one as I figured that would likely hold up best for off-roading.

The part number is Moog ES80895, and you can get it on Amazon with 2 day shipping if you have Prime. Make sure you keep the adjustment nut, as well as castle nut and get new cotter pins.

Great, thank you I'll check those out.
Were you outer boots torn or just leaking? I can't figure out why mine is leaking, perhaps just from the lift angles I suppose.

Yours is probably leaking because the boot got manhandled during lift installation. Lift doesn't really make much difference to the TRE angles as the suspension travel is not changed.

I would disconnect the TRE and regrease/reseat the boot. My TREs have over a quarter million very hard miles.

Lift has been on 4 year now and I just noticed the leak.

I did just have the rig in the dealership for an oil change, Would the rig being up on a lift with every thing at full droop cause a leak from the top or bottom of the boot? I don't see any tears in the boot. Almost look like it just weeped out somehow.

clean it up good, and drive it for a while. maybe they greased something else, and some got on that boot. or their grease gun touched it.
just track it for a while, and see if it is in fact leaking.

Thanks for feedback, but it is 100% leaking from the boot. In fact when I compare the passenger to the driver, the passenger boot is totally flat compared to the driver so I know the grease is gone (or almost gone). I am just going to replace it.

My one outer boot was leaking. Grease was still clean. The other boot (driver side) was torn and the grease was all jacked. Dirty and what not.
