Outer Tie Rods beat up..other suspension parts too.

I just drove home for the Thanksgiving break (100 miles). I got home and saw that my front tires had excessive amount of wear on the outside. It was pretty bad because in about 100 miles it brought the outside of the tires down past what would be wear bars (tires had about 40% tread left to begin with).

My front suspension has always been clunking/clanking and giving alot of play in the steering wheel when going over speed bumps.

So I looked under the front to see what could of given me the problem. Found out that my driver side sway bar end link was missing a nut and was just held in place firmly by the way it was angled. fixing it is no problem..its just how the heck did this loose a nut when I havn't been off the pavement in a while....

Also saw that my outer tie rod boots were pretty roughed up.

Could you guys tell me how the heck did the sway bar end link nut come off? does it look like it was over torqued on the top nuts? I re-did the sway bushings a while back ago but I just wing'ed the whole torque process, merely torquing by feeling of tightness. Could you please also tell me if anything looks out of place also by the pictures

also...are those OTR bushings safe to run for a while?

I have to drive back next week and would hate to have my tires wear down even more.

'apreach guys

with the tie rods u cant just tell by looking you have to shake the front end down to see if there good i no i need a inner tie rod so i just ended up pulling the trigger on both inners and both outers and it was only 78 dollars for all 4 from rock auto so its a cheap easy fix and at a 185k id rather do them all once while im in there so i only have to align it once
