Over sized oil filter

Just installed the Wix51515 and it barely fit. I've got the kdss set up as well and it's right next to the front sway bar. Just thought I'd let people know since I couldn't find the answer myself.

Thanks for the info! I bought some Purolator 30001. I hear these are equivalent filters. Hope mine fits. Although I do not have a KDSS system so hopefully this makes it easier.

I just changed my oil on the GX470. I found that the Purolator L30001, which is an equivalent of the Wix 51515, was too tall and wide. It was hitting the sway bar and a air conditioning compressor hose.

I loosened the sway bar and moved the hose to make it fit eventually but decided it may cause issues later. I exchanged it for a Purolator L20195 which is about 1.5" taller with the same diameter, 2.98". It fit with enough room and did not get in the way of the sway bar. Just to note if anyone else decides to try an oversized filter compared to the standard recommended.

Are you guys extending your oil change interval or something? Just curious why you think you need a larger oil filter?
