I have their 3/8" ratchet set which covers 99% of my needs. Really nice set for DIY auto repair. I've also used their 1/2" set and it's huge. Can barely carry that beast of a toolbox.

But I was working on my 4runner over the weekend to replace front calipers and sway bar links. One of the bolts was stuck on the sway bar link. I snapped the 3/8" drive breaker bar at the connection point for the socket.

Got on Tekton's website last night on my phone, uploaded a few pics and submitted a claim. This morning they shipped out another right away, no q asked. Nice to see a company taking care of their customers.

I used to buy just Craftsman tools and as most folks, spent hundreds of dollars on them over time. I don't make money with my tools, just fix (or try) stuff. So spending thousands wasn't really an option at the time.

I was changing out a water pump for someone else and the inside of the 3/8 ratchet exploded. My hand slipped and a stud ripped about 2 inches out of the back of my hand. Pretty deep too, still have the scar 30 years later.

So up to Sears I go with bloody paper towels wrapped around one hand and the busted ratchet. I *thought* it would be a simple one for one exchange. Oh, not even close... Some thing about dropping it off, and they will look at rebuilding it, might be ready tomorrow, maybe next week.

I ended up buy a new ratchet (that I really didn't have the money for) because I had to get this finished. Thus ending any 'brand loyalty' I had with Craftsman.

Good to know there are few companies that will stand behind their product and I mean without putting the customer through the wringer.
