Overdrive working intermittently

I have a 1995 4runner 3.0 and was on the freeway the other day and noticed that my car was not shifting into overdrive. The overdrive light was not flashing or check engine light. I noticed that overdrive will work when engine is cold but not after driving for a long period of time (20+ min). Fluid levels are normal. Anyone have any ideas?

Drop the pan change the fluid and filter. And see if you have metal bits on the magnet.
