Overhead console lights

Does anyone know if the three Homelink buttons and sunroof buttons should be illuminated? On my console only the traction control and atrac buttons light up when I turn on the lights.

I tried searching to no avail.

Seems like that's the way it is. That's why the homelink buttons have braille on them.

i totally prefer the original red Optitron illumination to the new blue stuff. blue is super hard on the eyes at night.

Was just commenting on this to my wife last night.

It's very likely that I will NEVER turn on A-TRAC or turn off the traction control in the dark, however I pull into the garage in the dark almost daily.

Not sure what they were thinking there, but I expected random unlit buttons after owning a '13 Tacoma.

2016 TP. I WISH they were lit. Ticks me off to no end.

Any ideas on how to fix this, as well as shed some light on the sunroof buttons?

Sometimes I wonder what Toyota was smoking…

The unlit moon roof switch isn’t an issue for me. The switch is uniquely shaped and easy to find by feel. I use the overhead light switch as a reference point.
