Overhead MOLLE panel Now Available!

Currently prototyping an overhead MOLLE panel. Who would be interested?
Great place for a CB, MOLLE storage pouches...etc.

Looks nice..looks like it would decapitate the driver with a rollover or hard impact. I get you guys make wonderful panels and I am a huge fan of your stuff..but come on some of this stuff is hard metal in close proximity to the driver..to say nothing of the stuff attached to it that will be an airborne missile.

Pretty cool but no need here. Now if you sold a black replacement headliner I would be more inclined to mount stuff close to the roof.

The oem headliner attracts way too much dirt and grease as it is.

Looks like a great solution for a CB or other items that need to be easily accessible and safely mounted. I assume it bolts into mettle framing?

That thing would be the least of my worries in a roll over.

With secure mounting points, I think it would be a cool addition and useful for smaller, low weight, items. :thumb3:


***EDIT*** I am still in favor but I do think angling the edge towards the ceiling would be advisable in the case of roll or broadside impact. I am also in favor of the (brilliant) bridge idea connecting the two rear panels!!!

2) No here, I think the molle thing is approaching overdone. (PS just installed molle rear window panels a couple weeks ago, because it isn't my 4Runner, I just get to drive it sometimes )

Not a bad idea but I already don't have enough headroom in the 4Runner. Just installed one of your rear Window Molle Panels which is great! I'd be really interested interested in a sensibly priced molle shelf bridging between the two rear window panels - For extra points one that would bridge two but could also work with only one Molle rear panel and a hanger bracket only on the other side!

Agree 100% with everyone else. No metal near passenger space.

There's a reason that roll cages should never be in street-driven cars.

Why not just make a panel that attaches to the rear sides that you already product and spans the roof?

Make a fabric molle panel that fits the visor, can hold lightweight flat items such as a pen, comb, parking card, registration, etc.

I'm 6'5" and already lacking in headroom, plus I'm not sure how this would work with the side curtain airbags.

I don't think a solid piece of metal right there is the best solution. Too dangerous.

Our 2012 Trail got t-boned and totalled last year. It was a very hard hit and pieces of the interior got knocked loose including pieces around the hvac, glove compartment and the overhead crawl control. The only thing that kept it from becoming projectiles was the wiring harnesss held. Not to mention the stuff in the cargo area that went flying around. Luckily no one was seriously injured. Like others, I wouldn't want something metallic in the passenger compartment. We got a 2019 TRDOP and the first mod was a Raingler net to keep the stuff in the cargo area from flying into the passenger compartment .

I have a sunroof, so I'm probably not your target market.

I'm also 6'7" with no headroom to spare... so it would be a no-go for me regardless.

Not to mention the safety concerns...

I like that you guys are innovating, and this is a cool idea, but it wouldn't be for me. Keep up the good work though, those Blitz sliders are in my sights for the future.
