Overheating Problem this morning

I started my 93 4runner this morning via car starter, and I heard a loud squealing which is almost certainly fan belt having a hard time to turn something then it eventually stopped squealing. It was very cold today (about -25c). It ran for about 10 mins and when I went out the fluid was coming out of the radiator. The head gasket and timing belt was changed about 10,000km's ago. Would this possibly be the thermostat or the water pump causing this?

i hade the same problem with my formula. thermostat is sticky
if i drive it right away its fine but if i let it worm up in the drive
way it sticks!or it could be a frozen waterpump?

I also vote for coolant starting to freeze. Use a hygrometer and check to see what it's freezing point is. You may have to drain some out and add pure antifreeze to lower your system's freezing point.

With a 40% antifreeze, 60% water mix, it will start to freeze at just slightly below minus 20 deg C. A 50/50 mix will start to freeze at minus 35 deg C. You should be running between 50% and 60% antifreeze in your climate.

Not sure what is was so I changed the thermostat and therefore had to change the antifreeze (50/50) and haven't overheated since but it has not been as cold. I will post back if it happens again. thanks for the responses!
