I was there the majority of Saturday (did leave before sun-down though) and again early Sunday. The 4Runner wasn't there "back then," I had my white Raptor 6.2 with me (gone now; giant P.O.S.).

I just noticed the "Rally Fighter" trailer in that pic... did anyone get to drive it?

I just registered but instead of driving out I'll be flying and renting whatever 4WD I can find in Phoenix. I've been looking for some sort of off road trailer for a while now and other than SEMA this seems the best place to get some hands on time with a bunch in one place. The various classes and demos there made it a easy decision.

Also going plan a few extra days to check out the Grand Canyon and Sedona since they both seem just a short drive away.

Of course all this would not be needed if Pat was not so lazy and cheap to build me one for free. :biggrin2:

It's just as easy to cut out two as it is one....and of course, yours will have racks for a Crawdad so you guys can fish ..here's the latest concept for ROAM II

Pull out kitchen..push out queen size bed....canvas shower / toilet room...awning...pop up roof so you can stand up..water tanks/outside shower.....table inside folds down to a bed.....you know the drill

Its $ 265 per person - thanks for the offer ^ but I'll be in a hotel this time. I would have made it a longer trip but once I get home I'm packing for China.

Thank you Sir...shooting for 2500#......my goal with this one is quicker set up...I've been reading up on composites, which can be stronger and considerably lighter, but also have inherent connection difficulties. At least with wood I know what will hold up, and what I'm getting into.

It was being driven, but I think only by a handful of "select" individuals (which excludes me! LOL!).

So far the truck is doing fine once I got over the shock of no leather and orange gauges. But do I really need to move a lever just to get into 4WD? How primitive ound:

The canyon was.....well, grand. Actually very impressive. I would not make the trip to AZ just to see it but well worth the one hour drive.

Tomorrow off to Red Rocks. I'm trying to not break the tuck too early. Came sort of close today but lesson learned: They put road closed signs out for good reason. Otherwise I drove much of the South Rim without incident.
