Are there 2 different owner's manuals for the 2wd and 4wd models? Mine didn't come with a manual and I'm thinking of picking one up on eBay when I see a decent price.

I doubt there are two manuals, but I dont know for sure.
I'd like to get one myself too, its a cool thing to have. A friend of mine recently bought a '70 Ford f100 and the guy had the original brochure and gave it to him, pretty sick to see for sure.

haha. I don't plan to. That's the cheapest I've found. Prices are ranging anywhere from $20 up to $70 for the same manual.

Not sure, but the one I read online before I picked up my Runner didn't explain 4WD at all, and the manual that is in my Runner now tells me just about everything I want to know about how to not **** up the 4WD system.
