Oxygen sensor help.

Anyone know the correct part number for the front oxygen sensor of a 1997 4runner V6 2WD? I keep seeing different numbers. I tried using the search and couldn't find a definite answer.

Aside from price, what makes you think they are different? Second site does not provide a part number (that I saw).

Anyway, I'd go with URD, the other price is way high for a standard O2 in any case.

Thanks for the info guys I'm going to order one off ebay since I have paypal buying credit, it isn't too hard to install these things right? How long should I let it cool before I put a new one in?

Uhh...as long as it takes to cool off enough it won't burn you. On a Cali. truck (as in lives in Cali., not Cali emissions), it should be a piece of cake. We salt-belt guys suffer from corroded nut disease.

OP is a '97, no Cali. set-ups to worry about until 1999. In general, the Federal trucks through 2000 use the same actual sensor fore and aft, but the part may different due to wire length only. All Cali. trucks ('99-'00) and '01-'02 Federal (when the Cali. set up became 50-state standard) use a wideband air/fuel ratio sensor in front that has a completely different technology as well as a different plug--and two cats, of course. Those trucks continued to use a standard O2 sensor in the rear.

Again, there was no special Cali. exhaust emissions set-up in 1997, it started in 1999. I don't know what your problem is, so I don't know how to answer your question.
