So in my hunt to track down my mysterious power steering leak I found one thing.
When I have the car jacked up off the ground, engine off, and turn the wheel lock to lock ATF just pours out of the reservoir cap....
Is that supposed to happen, or is that a sign of a bad pump, seal, something else?
It seems to be the source of my leak from the off roading over the weekend. Fluid appears to have come from the cap, and due to the angle that I was at it ran down towards the back of the skid plate and pooled around the P/S rack; which made me think the rack was leaking. But, the rack is an almost new high quality reman unit, so that shouldn't be the case
Thanks for any help
