P0171 After 7th Injector Install

Well, just threw the code again on my way to work. I should have known, since I did not remove the TB for the 7th Injector install.

Open to any more suggestions.

Injectors back to stock, vaccume lines, TB gasket.

Just a thought here, The only thing you changed that could have created a vacuum leak is the port where the 7th injector goes into, Right? High-heat teflon tape wrapped around the threads of the 7th injector to make sure the SC is not pulling air in with the fuel from the 7th injector port? Is it leaking any fuel out of the port?

All I have done is the tb gasket and injectors. This morning added some zip ties where the boost lines meet, just in case.

I considered the injector this morning too while tracing the boost lines. I am not leaking any fuel though, no.

Well, inspected the 7th injector a bit more.

Ran my finger around the seal and could hear air noise around 1 side.

Pulled the injector out and can tell the gasket wasn't seated properly.


Put it back together and no more noise, will report back with whether this fixes it or not.

I won't claim it's fixed until it goes a day or two without codes!

2 days without the P0171 returning.

I'm going to go ahead and say it's fixed.

Nice dude! Thanks for sharing the experience with us. Its always good to have a problem solved and eliminate a headache for future SC 3.4's with the 7th.
