So today I swapped out my FPR for a working unit in an attempt to fix my low fuel pressure issues. Well, the issue seems to be fixed, but now I have a NEW problem.
Anyway, it runs great. Idles nice and smooth, nothing out of the ordinary until I sit at idle for more than a minute or two, then CEL turns on with a P0171. I know this is typically associated with the MAF, so I threw in an extra one I had laying around, cleared the code, and the same code was thrown soon after.
I have checked, double, triple, and quadruple checked that everything is plugged in and all hoses are connected.
So far I have not tried much, just pulling the EFI fuse, and swapping the MAF.
Just a rundown of what I did to swap the FPR, to maybe help someone figure it out...
1. Disconnected all the throttle/cruise cables
2. Removed the intake tube
3. Removed the Throttle Body (Undid both the wire connectors on the TB, plugged them both back in. Also removed the coolant hose from the TB, and the vacuum to the PCV)
4. Removed the 2 vacuum lines on the driver side of the Supercharger. (One was from the brake booster, other was from the evap box thing behind the battery)
5. Took the grounds off the driver side of the Supercharger and undid the 3 bolts, 2 nuts holding the Supercharger on
At this point I removed the Supercharger.
6. Taped off the intake surge tank (not sure that's what it's called, but that's what the parts guy called it)
7. Undid the 2 pin harness at the front pass side of the fuel rail
8. Removed the 4 bolts holding the fuel rail
9. Pulled the fuel rail forward a bit so I could access the 2 bolts holding the FPR
To put everything together I started by installing the FPR and fuel rail, then I connected the 2 pin connector I mentioned earlier.
From there I whipped out my TRD Supercharger instructions and followed those to the T to get everything put back together...
