P0330 AND P0325 Check Engine Codes? Knock Sensor 1 and 2 Circuit Malfunciton

Hi guys,

I just purchased a 2001 4runner with 175k miles. I'm excited to build it into an overland rig! First, I have to take care a check engine light on it...

I'm pulling two codes the P0330 and P0325 which say "Knock Sensor * Circuit Malfunciton" 1 and 2 respectively. Does the fact that they're both going off give any indications as to the problem, or is it just need new sensors?

Another thing i've noticed...

A fairly bad leak on the passengers side of the engine bay. Doesn't look like it's coming directly from the engine, but unsure what it is.

I'm getting pretty terrible MPG, less than 15.

Don't know if these are related to the original problem or not...

Usually the harness goes bad before the knock sensors. I went on eBay and purchased two new OEM sensors and an OEM harness for like $110.

The job itself isn’t too difficult. The lower manifold gasket set is around $80 if I remember correctly.

I just went through this. It isn't something you want to do more than once. Replace harness and both sensors. Only use Toyota parts.

I just took it to a Toyota specialist. I wanted to feel good about this purchase... So I'm gonna get everything taken care of by a vet.

I got a good enough deal that I'll still feel good as long as the total is under a grand. The exterior is in excellent shape for the age, no rust on frame, all electronics work, including rear window, except for the antenna motor.

I know this is old but I'm getting same issue, both codes. Anyone know why both sensors can just go bad at once? I did the wire mod and it still does it.
