Ok nothing to serious here installed y-pipe , bout 100 mi later threw code , checked for leaks none . Now with rear cats gone possible front cats bad ? Have ordered new o2s so will replace as needed also gas cap . Any of the guys that have done this gone thru this ? I'm ok clearing the cel with obd11 but just trying to narrow down . Called urd not real sure about that was told buy o2 sim would fix prob , sales pitch ? Thinking maybe o2 might have been fried by opening up , don't know . Any theory ? Thanks Mike n LV

It could just be bad timing on the modifications. The rear O2 sensors only monitor the front cats. I consider the y-pipe cats after-cats as they're not monitored.

On the Toyota trucks and when dealing with OEM parts, Toyota actually recommends to replace the rear cat when doing the manifold cats even though again, it's not monitored.

With urd y-pipe rear cats gone ! Anyway all good got new o2s coming from amazon 57$ & 53$ respectively so will see how that works . Wait till next time cel then replace see what happens , also do gas cap looks a liitle then on the gasket . Was kinda curious if anybody had done this yet & probs with & if they had to buy the o2 sim.?:surfer:

No Whitebeauty did not their claim is don't need because o2 s are n the y-pipe ? Would have done so but kinda mis-leading how they state it ?

your not understanding the situation here...Where skyline at?? You need the O2 sims you removed the restriction of airflow from the cats by putting in that y pipe. Gadget might have a weird way of talkin but that part i will vouch for. Its not your O2's. WHile your at it get the an intake and maf cal. for the affordable side of things. You wont regret it

Aahhh that's what she said !! Ordering sim now , and yes Gadget was em w/o ball busting in the nicest way odd ? Thanks And Gadget no offense !

I've been itching to get my hands on MAF CAL from URD. That combined with CAI and CAT back on my 4R would be sweet!!! XRunners love em and swear by them:trophy:

Let me know if you get the MAF CAL please. I wanna know how it does with the pre tune or whatever. I couldn't tune it myself anytime soon so I'm wondering how it is from the box. I'm so close to buying one but some co workers are trying to tell me to go with a piggy back from AEM.... Not doing FI to my runner so I'm not sure what to buy to get a bit more power.

Just so we are clear the front sensors are WRAF sensors (a/f). the ones behind them are o2 sensors. The y pipe shouldn't have an effect as the back cats aren't monitored at all. So maybe consider looking at your manifolds. Did you use new gaskets for the y pipe?

Maf cal is a nice little unit. Good bang for the buck mod. If you wish install all your supporting mods than have gadget from urd install a nice tune for those mods.

Next question is do you have long tube headers? If not look into changing the o2 sensors and if that still does not rectify the issue you may need new cats.

10-4 ok will just go down the line eliminate as I go , probably go with pacesetter or magnaflow wanna stay sorta oem thanks skytracer . Was hoping it was because opening up & got hotter than o2s could handle w/100, mi. plus hit em pretty hard with pbblaster
