P0505, P0110, and P0120

Well....I thought this booger was straightened out, but today he got all these codes.

0505 is for the IAC, 0110 is for the IAT sensor, and 0120 is for the TPS. First of all, there's like a 1 in 1 million chance that all three sensors went bad at the same time, and second....I tested the IAC when I cleaned it, and it tested just fine. Which really makes me think that something else is causing all this stuff to act up.

Any idea's on where to start troubleshooting? The truck starts, runs and drives great. You'd never know anything was wrong if the CEL wasn't on. It's a 99 Limited 3.4 Auto 4x4. 138k miles.

You know what that kinda funny as hell, i bought mine and then the CEL came on took it to work, scannec it, and came out System too lean, bank 1, so i messed around with it, and cleaned the MAF sensor, light went away for a week now back on, truck ran great the whole time CEL on and off, now the IAC is not the problem, you would notice some bad engine idle curves, same with the TPS you would notice it without a doubt. Have you noticed any change what so ever, mileage, performance, shift points, early or late, lobey idle, anything at all

Do you have access to a scanner? Seen bad maf's cause 110 and 120. If you do, watch the grams per second at idle on the maf pid. should be around 3.4gps. Bad maf's can do some pretty strange things.. especially on toys and fords. I'll check with identifix tomorrow and see if theyve seen anything. Good luck!

AH ha, I think I realized something. I cleaned the MAF (with the CRC brand MAF cleaner that is safe for electrical parts), but I did NOT unhook the battery to reset everything. The MAF was pretty dirty before I cleaned it. I bet I need to reset the ECU. I also cleaned the IAC valve really well and tested it at the same time that I cleaned the MAF.

I don't have a real scanner, just a ScanGauge II that I can read and clear the codes with. What kind of scanner would show the details I need to see to analyze the MAF sensor in operation?

If resetting the computer doesn't work, those three could be all on the same ground circuit.
I'll wait for an update.
:hatsoff:

Today when I checked it out the CEL was not illuminated, and there was just one code stored. P0505.

I went ahead and disconnected the battery, and reset the P0505. Maybe the IAC really is bad, even though it tested ok. When I tested it, all I did was apply 12v to the correct pins to make it open all the way and close all the way. Which it did just fine.

I took it on a short drive to verify with the SGII that the TPS was reading approx the correct amount of throttle when driving, and it was.

All the grounds that I can see are tight. Maybe I need a schematic to find all the grounds on the whole truck.
