NOOOOOOOO!!!!! :bash:  :cursin:

First of all I want to appologize cause I promissed a lot of people a full car audio write up this weekend but then this happened.

I googled, 4Runner P0770 and the first 10 results were for either 99's or 00's. Anyone know what the deal is with that? So as it turns out, I know absolutely nothing about automatic transmissions so any help or insite would be greatly appreciated.
And on a final note, I am going to fix this but I am DONE with automatic transmissions so if anyone has any leads on a R150 transmission with a t-case, please let me know cause Im going to do this swap ASAP.
Again, Im really sorry to all the people who were looking forward to my car audio write up but I am still gonna do it as soon as I can.

i have not visited this site in a while, but let me get this straight, you are going to put the SC400 motor in your runner, or you are just buying an SC 400 to drive? The SC motors arent very reliable, especially with a lot of mileage on them. If you are going to do such a swap, why not just go with the 2JZ instead?

oh, well then how many miles do you have on your truck? whats the tranny fluid look smell like?

side note... wanna sell me that URD 7th injector kit?

and what kind of performance issues are you having with that code popping up? is it shuddering when you downshift out of O.D.?

from what i understand those shift solenoids are in the valve body so you would have to drop the VB to access it

there is a thread over on yotatech about this exact issue, seems relatively easy to fix if you have 12" long fingers that turn into wrenches, good news is that it sounds cheap to pay to have it fixed also, to the tune of 3-500

heres the thread, and lemme know about that 7th injector and if you want to sell it

good luck getting this fixed, and let us know how it turns out, if you need anymore help just post up and ill see what else i can find.

So first, to answer you're question Scott, yes I am doing a 1uz swap and as a matter of fact there is a 94 SC400 sitting in my cousins garage out in Colorado Springs and it has 112xxx miles on it but I bought a rebuild kit and my cousin and I are goin to town on the 1uz pretty soon. I didnt want to do a 2jz cause its really hard to fit that motor in a 4runner and finding one/affording one is absolutely ridiculous. Im having enough trouble trying to find a R154 transmission right now. Oh and on that note, I've decided to just get rid of my tranny an do a manual swap. I have everything for the manual (pedal, slave cylinder, ect) already installed but I can't decide on a tranny. Either the R154 or the R150. They're virtually the same tranny just different gear ratios. And finally, RunnerUp, Im selling my 7th injector kit for $800 brand new, unopened in the box but a friend of mine says he's going to buy it but I doubt he will so give it 1 month and if he doesnt its all yours.

You do realize that you can make more power with the supercharged V6 right? not to mention all of the extra weight that the V8 adds. will your new transmission mate up to the transfer case? What are you going to do with all of the electronics associated with the transfer case to get it to work properly?
