P1130 coed major help needed!!! 00 4runner

ok heres the deal i changed both converters on my girls 00 4runner SR5 4x4 when i cut the first one out the sensor wasnt disconnected and the wires came out of the harness i thought i disconnected it... i tried plugging them in the harness it didi nt work so i had to cut the wires and make my own butt connections and now im getting the p1130 code short in the wire or bad connection is wat it is saying... i double checked my wiring its solid so what can be the problem? i brought a new sensor hoping that is it does anyone have any suggestions?? i dont now which wires go to which i got as white, white/ blue , blue and black wire going to a new iniversal bosch sensor with two white one black and one grey...im guessing i wired it wrong im hoping it didnt fry the ECM and just shorted out the sensor

You basically did everything wrong.
No butt connectors, no Bosch sensors, no aftermarket cats.
All of them are likely going to be continuing problems.
I'll try to remember to post up wiring colors a bit later.

Assuming bank 1 sensor 1 and v6.....

Harness colors:
White is the signal wire
Pink with a blue stripe is the heater control side
Brown is the sensor ground
White with a blue stripe is the heater feed (12v) from the efi relay.

The factory sensors have 2 black wires for the heater, the white sensor output wire, and the blue (or other color) for sensor ground.

Good concise post Rix. I would only add that you should make sure to solder your connections. The voltage changes are minor in an O2 and any resistance will mess up your readings. I would change that before replacing the 02 sensor again.

ur problem is 1000% the bosch sensor THEY DONT WORK !!!

U NEED A DENSO SENSOR !!!

I HAD THE SAME EXACT PROBLEM and finally caved in for a denso sensor. it solved all the problems. I even have it working on an aftermarket rear cat.
