Hello everyone!
Wondering if anyone had an experience with this code P1613 (SAIS - Secondary Air Injection System). The code started 2months ago. On my way to the dealership, the code/CEL just went away. Then last month, it came back. I tried some fix online like checking for the 2connectors if its loose/breaks/cracks - they were fine. Tried disconnecting the battery for few hours. code gone.
Unfortunately, the code came back today. I checked the inside of the pump. Foam filter still in one piece. Inside is clean.
Is there other tests I can do before sending it to the dealer?
More info: Other than the code, the 4runner drives OK - no cruise control. I have not experienced a limp mode. No "Trac Off" light. Just the CEL. My warranty ended May 2026. 75K KM. Canada weather.
