Back in the day I had a 94 with a 3" lift and 33's but like every young kid I was too broke to do what I wanted. Now a days Im a litlle more blessed so I'm going to give this a try again. Got a hold of a 1995 4Runner with the 3.0 & auto tranny, havent been able to find much wrong with it....even the cruise control works! Ive only had it for about 36 hrs but here are some quick shots of my first drive out. Next week its going in for lift, gears, locker & tires. :bounce:

Haha not too much. Originally I was going to jump straight into it with a SAS but I figured it was beast to ease into wheeling being that i havent done it in 8 yrs or so.

So I got a super cheap set of 33"s, was gonna go with new tires but I want to save money (its in my nature). I know they're not the best tire but hey they were dirt cheap....like i saved $600 cheap.


*Decided to sell the tires to make some coin (it's in my nature), if i sell these tires I could have a new set for super cheap.

So just like everything else, this build has had it's glitches. My buddy at the shop needed to replace an axle seal and the cv boot's. The one item that halted progress was the fact that apparently I have 1 of the rare Runner's that came with 4.88's, so a new case had to be ordered to be able to fit the 5.29's. The new case should be here Friday....hopefully.

I would have traded you a 4.10 v6 case for your 4.88 lol. Still will if you want a spare lol

Honestly my buddy just took it upon himself to order the new case. Im just along for the ride until hes done.

Thanks bud. Im really happy with the results....the only issue the came of it is that a drive line vibration that I was told was the rear end ended up being the rear yoke from the transfer case. The "Ice box" is in the shop.....again getting the transfer case swapped out. If everything goes smoothly I'll have it for the weekend.

Got it back! .....still vibrates....obviously needs something else.

So its got a new rear end, new tranny & new driveshaft......the vibration is still present wtf?!

Are your u-joints aligned with each other the way they should be? Or if the u-joints were recently replaced did you remember to mark the way the part that bolts to the flange is clocked the way it was taken apart (it could be 180deg from what it should be)

I made the mistake of the my second suggestion and I have a horrible vibration from 55-60mph, there is some noticeable vibrations otherwise. I am yet to fix it lol, I really should since I know what it is.

U joints were proffesionally installed and everything was lined up. The vibration has been there since before the lift, new rear end, new tranny & new dshaft.
