As i read the blogs i've never read anything about the color Pacific Metalic Blue. Does anyone have that color? Also whenever it rains then it gets sunny is it ONLY Pacific metallic blue that shows off white rain marks or is it every color?

It's available only on the SR5 models unless you custom order your 4R. I've seen some Limited models with it, but it's rare. Just about any dark color will show the white marks from rain. White doesn't show it unless you look at an angle, and silver will hide it pretty well too.

My parents have a Pacific Blue Limited. The Pacific Blue is a rare color to come by. Limited's are especially hard to find in that color. Every dark color shows off rain marks when light hits it. I would say the Pacific blue shows more dirt than my silver truck, but it is not that bad. The only thing I don't like is it doesn't hide the scratches too well. Pacific Blue is discontinued for the 2006 model year. Here are a few pictures of the truck when it was brand new:

I've got a Pacific Blue too. Yes, they are pretty rare, but I love it.

Any dark(er) colored car will show water marks more than a light colored car, so it's definately not the Pacific Blue that does it.

Here are some pics of mine:

Pacific Blue

I have a 2004 Pacific blue 4runner sr5 v6 and although its not a limited or a v8.... Its nice to know that there are people out there that like the color. At first it took some time to adjust to the color but there isn't another color that looks cooler. When I clean and wax it, it looks amazing. I've had a couple people ask me if it was new! haha. I just got my windows tinted and I have to say it looks pretty sweet. Along with the tint... I installed the pioneer 4200 and installed to 12' subs. It sounds sick!

Rare in my area. It wasn't my first choice in colour but finding a good T4R used here is difficult. Condition was more important than colour. It took a while to grow on me too but I like it now. My first one was black which was a love/hate relationship. Looked awesome but was always dirty and showed every scratch and swirl. The blue hides better.

I have a 2003 pacific Blue Metallic Limited V8. I love the color and it does not show dirt as much as black and dark blue. I have seen a couple others on the road, but it is definitely a rare color.

Got an 04 V6 SR5 Pacific Blue. It's ok, but wasn't my first choice of colors. Prefer the white or silver but this deal fell together pretty fast after my white 08 Tacoma PreRunner was totaled.

The only problem that I'm experiencing with the Pacific Blue Metallic is actually where I live. AZ heat and sun is fading the plastic pieces on the vehicle. The paint job on the metal parts is doing fine, it's just the body cladding and other plastic parts that are sun fading. I'm in the process of restoring the vehicle to it's original condition. I'ld prefer to get into a white 08 but my wife is fighting me on it (this vehicle is actually her daily driver). Or so she likes to believe! ;)

Haven't seen many T4Rs in Tucson with the Pacific Blue Metallic. Mainly white and silver.

I prefer non-metalic colors, but good luck with that as most manufacturers have gone over to the metallic paints.

I have a 2005 SR5 that's Pacific Blue. I've only seen a couple around where I live. I wanted a dark blue one, but finding a good used 4Runner is not easy so i couldn't be too picky about the color. Now that I have it, I love the color. I had a black Nissan Titan before this that always showed dirt.

Nice pic Rockwall, now I know what mine will look like with a lift.

Pac Blue was my first color choice which is why I went with Galactic Gray as 2nd choice. It doubles as Pac Blue much of the time.

Old thread but oh well. I bought my 4r about 2 years ago, and I'm slowly doing mods.. So far I have LED interior swap, FJ swap with 5100s at 1.75, BFG All-terrain T/A KO 265/75/16, removed running boards, 15% tint, blacked out emblems and other silver pieces.

and the slanted TRD stickers on rear windows added ~40 HP

Nicely done, love the blacked out emblems. Did you just spray paint them or did you use bed liner or plastic coat (whetever that's called - Plasti Dip?)

What wheels are those? Looks like maybe you painted the stockers black?

How do you like the FJC suspension? I just got one but haven't put it on yet. Once it's on I'll try the FJC steel wheels with BFG M/Ts (which would NOT be my first choice but that's the tire that's on the FJC wheels I bought so I'll try them and if I don't like them I'll swap them out for some kind of AT tire.)

mine is a 03 SR5 Pac Blue...i bought mine used and it was more the price and 4th gen model more than the color...just to get out of my 98 anyways....color is ok but i will be doin a full color change and custom paint job at some point...I have seen quite a few of this color in FL...obviously not as much as the popular colors....as for the white marks, i have no clue what your talking to unless its just the reflection of the sky in the water droplet...and it rains a lot here

I used Plasti-Dip on the emblems, very easy to do, The wheels are 16x7 V-TEC raptor wheels, got the whole set shipped for >$500, and sold my stock wheels to a 3rd gen owner on craigslist for $300.

Personally I love the FJC suspension, Its a huge improvement over stock IMO, it rides more like a Tacoma and even more with the BFGs at 50 psi. I Like the BFG A/T just because it is my daily driver as well as my fun vehicle. I think it handles 100% better on the curvy Kentucky backroads, feels much more stable and much less body roll. plus i went with the 5100s at 1.75 because i wanted to eliminate the Rake and now it sits level from ground to fender front and rear.

They are even more rare. I got parts from a junk yard and the guy said it was blue. I expected Stratosphere Mica (dark blue), and ended up with a Pacific Metallic Blue bumper. So there is at least one less on the road. :thumb3:
