Paint it or leave it black

I picked up a sport hood and put it on still primered black. I was planning on painting it but i kinda like it black and i have a had a few people tell me i should leave it black

Opinions?

I voted to paint it. I don't think it looks bad in black, but I think it would look better that way if your base color was on the lighter side (silver or white).

Either match the body or somehow you need to soften the edges by either painting the tops of the fenders and round the corners off. Or body match the edges of the hood and round off the black.

You will be much happier, if you go black, to spray it black and use a satin clear coat. Flat paint looks grimy after a while.

Google images of "Rally Camaro" and you will see different versions of anti-glare hoods.

I voted body color. Like stated above, it doesn't look bad black... but I think it would look a lot better color matched.

flat black, as Gerdo says looks "grimy". Maybe a shiny black, if you're on a budget maybe you can vinyl wrap it black

Its YOUR rig, do what YOU like....

If I had a trail only rig, it would be flat black or OD green, and never give the color a second thought

I would say black if your bumper was black. If it was, it might look alright, but not with all the different colors you got going on. Maybe I should just throw my silver sport hood on.
