I know I want to repaint my 07 Limited and I thought I would see what you guys thought. I am leaning strongly towards a shade of red. It's currently Metallic Gray.
Why? My wife and I ordered a 4R early in 07 (FEB/MAR) and nothing came to the port with what we had ordered. So in AUG we went to see what the heck was up. Come to find out the dealership didn't "order" the vehicle from the factory, they "preferenced" it assuming one would eventually come in. We were so angry with them. We wanted to take advantage of the 07 rebate because the 08 models would be coming out at any time. So we were told. They were able to have one brought in that was exactly what we wanted, but the Metallic Gray. Our "order" was for the Shadow Mica. So we went ahead and made the purchase. So I take the 4R in for it's first service and you will never believe what was in their lot.
It was our 4R with everything from the factory except what was going to be added at the port. I flipped. Anyway we ended up buying a 2nd 4R and NO, not from that dealership. So we basically have the exact same car and look almost similar in color.
My wife's car is the Shadow Mica one and if we were going to get a 2nd 4R, I wanted a Red Sport. Don't get me wrong, I love the Limited. So now I can get what I want and we know it's going to kick us about 4-5,000 to repaint it correctly. Now I need to decide what color.
So for the repaint...I like the red that is available on the 4R from the factory, but it seems to have more burgundy in it. I like the red that is available on the Camry, but not sure how it would turn out on a 4R.
What do you folks think, or do you have some other type of recommendation?

! I am seriously going to have to go check out that Lexus color in person. It looks sharp from the photos.
