I finally got some decent weather and painted the removable top with duplicolor bed liner. Looks great. Hoping it will last through the weather. Next big project is to paint the body. The problem is I don't know where to buy paint. I don't want the best auto paint cuz $100 per quart is too much for an amateur to be spraying around on a beater vehicle. Most websites I go to have just a few colors available. For some reason orange and school bus yellow are popular. Anybody know a place I can order OE colors at a decent price? Anybody have any suggestions of what brands to go with or stay away from? I'm thinking I want to go with Sandstorm from the new FJ Cruiser.

Take the paint code & bring it to a Body Shop & have them mix you up some paint. I know you don't want to spend so much.

Go to a body shop supply store, the top of the line stuff is $100/qt but they offer different lines of paint that are much less. you will not get oem colors because those tints are reserved for the high end base/clear systems, but you should be able to get something close off of a paint chip they can provide.
all told, paint is probably half the expense, you also need primer, thinner, catalyst, tape, paper, tack rags, respirator etc.
