Paint Matched My Grill - PICS!

Paint matched my grill yesterday, and blacked out my emblem too, really love how it turned out! Now I need to do something about these chrome Limited wheels...lol!

Lovin' it. Always leaned towards the color-keyed bumpers, flares an grille.

Someone will want those rims, put them on CL and see what you can get for them, and then get some aftermarket rims of your liking!

Looks awesome! I have this on my to do list. Did you just sand, primer and paint? Ive been looking locally but cant seem to find IJM paint, where did you get your paint from?

sanded with:
- 180,
- 220
- wetsanded with 400 and 600 grit

2 nice of coats of adhesion promoter.

2 coats of primer and wetsanded with 600grit.

2 coats of primer sealer.

3 coats of base coat

3 nice coats of clear.

***All done out of a spray bomb! Got the paint at my local sherwin williams, just gave them the paint code and they put it in a spray bomb for me.

2x on the Chrome Limited Wheels... those are worth some dough! Don't paint them!

I guarantee you could sell them, and then buy something else!

They don't look good as good as they do in pics, the chrome is peeling away, they look like crap! Trying to get a set of the 17" Tundra/Sequoia wheels.

Ya I agree. 3rd gens always look best color matched. The older model Toyota trucks before the Tacoma look good with the stock chrome bumpers. But not so much on the 3rd gen runners
