paint scheme i'm thinking about

this is what i'm thinking of doing to my 4R, its red, i know the color is not an exact match, but just for reference.lol. what does everyone think? anyone have similar paint schemes? i'd love to have some ideas. Thanks!

You probably shouldnt paint over the headlights.

I'm going to assume that by the lack of response that will not be a popular choice. But, it's your rig. Paint it however you want and do what makes you happy.

There are a lot of color matched bumpers and mirrors in the 3rd, 4th and 5th gen setups. Some have color matched grills and some have black, silver or what not. Take a look at those and see if you like the look. I like the color matched look, but I am wanting to go with more of a "Storm Trooper" look myself. Point is, like SV said, if you like it, go for it.

Thanks guys, yea, i understand might not be everyones cup of tea. was just trying to go for a wider grill look (dare i say sporty). and the headlights wouldn't be painted, they would be tinted.lol. i love the way the 5th gen grill and bumper looks, it looks like it has an wide grill, tryin to go in that direction with the 2nd gen. but thanks for ur thoughts tho. in the end, i would like to have everything color matched, not really liking the chrome look...lol

was trying to create something more along the lines of this, maybe this will give you a better idea of what i was looking to do with the look of the truck.

For myself, I've never been fond of long similar vertical sections on a vehicle--it seems to mess up the proportions. Long flowing horizontal lines seem to work better (my opinion, of course). Monochrome paint scemes (all or mostly one color), however, do look very good on many vehicles, especially if you're not a big chrome fan. Like the others said, though--it's entirely up to you. Making your own statement is half the fun of "playing with these Toys"!

oh yea, i'm deff not a chrome fan... i hate these chrome bumpers and side mirrors... to me the horizontal grill looks good on certain vehicles and on certain grills... for the 2nd gen runner, i think looks wise it might look better with the vertical monocolor grill look, almost like a GT-R grill. but your right, i've seen a lot of runners of all gens and some of them look incredible. it won't happen right away, just kicking some ideas around. also thinking of painting the bumper and all black, nice and simple. i don't know yet.
