Painted grille, valance, etc

Finally got a chance to pain my front valance, grille, tow hitch, rear bumper step trim, spoiler, and license plate background assembly. Used 3M bed liner rubberized paint with paint stick adhesive as well before paint went on for a longer last. Looks so much better than the charcoal and black fading after so many years.

couldn't find newspaper...this worked ;-)

Looks good, why don't u have the plastic trim on the bumper? Wonder where you got the idea to paint the license plate frame? hahaha

My valance/bumper trim was rubbing against my tires because my bumper got bumped a bit out of place so went with just leaving the plate area I like it better personally can see the tires better. And decided to paint everything bed liner black since I had already painted the front and hitch. Also painted the sunroof air contraption thing that pops up when roof is opened as well.

I plane on doing the same to my 01. I find that front trim can fade bad! What did you do to prep it? I have removed mine to help from overspary but found that just a 400 grit wet sand isn't cutting it to have the paint stick.

I bought some Trim Paint. Flat black and super quick drying. Makes it look like it wasn't even painted. I will snap a few pictures tonight so I can give you an idea.

Rear hitch is in the works too! Just have to find sometime when the gf doesn't want to "spend quality time>' :ybrick:

She can sand and wire brush it, you can paint it, that is quality time together.

Oh my! It's hard to type when your eyes are watering cause you are laughing so hard. That ain't going to happen.

Just add spray can adhesive before you paint the bedliner/undercarriage onton any of it. I forgot to before I did the front. It won't peel as quickly or chip off as badly either. I also used light klean solvent don't laqur thinner unless you fuk up.

Don't feel bad about the quality time. I'm suppose to be painting my kitchen and baby's room but did this instead and let her do the room. My car modding is man time let her know that. I've now got a painted trim on my 4Runner and a bedroom. Tell her it is more producive to get two things done at once or something lol
