Well I finally had the time to paint my Sport Wheels black, I actually used Bedliner Spray so they have some texture to them....
Sorry about the quality, I couldn't find my camera, so had to use my camera phone....

Wow, that is actually pretty sweet. Is there any way you can make them a bit darker?

I was actually going for the flat black look....I also painted my running boards and roof rack that color as well....

Looks awesome!! What size BGF's are they and do you have a lift?

Those are the 255/75r17 (32.1) that are only like 100 bucks each......and I have the daystar 2.5/2 inch lift.....with air bags in the rear for towing...

Word, I see your going to do your roof rack - are you going to take the rails off?

I think I might spray paint my tube steps black as well as they already have tecture.

I actually took the roof rack totally off the car today, took it all apart and painted it with a satin black, since as u also said it is allready textured, and just waiting for them to dry.....I painted my tube steps already the same color and they look awesome as well....

I forgot to ask in the response - how do you take the roof rack off?

Thanks SportRunner!

EDIT: Oh Yea, did you remove the steps (the 2 black steps on each tube) from the tubes themselves or paint everything at once?

I thought that size was only available in the MT Jeep version of tires.

Oh , dang I forgot to mention that the truck wheels look great . :bigok:

Oh easy, all you do is pry off each top peice of each corner of the rack, they pop straight up and off, then there are two torx screws in each corner and lift the rack off....

I also removed the tube steps when I painted them and took the step peices and endcaps off I left the brackets on and just painted around them...

Falls- those are the only size those muds come in that are for the jeep wrangler, and those tires are the jeep version...

OK thanks! I think black tube and roof rack will look good with my color. If only I can convince my parents to let me do the wheels. What paint did you use on the tube steps and rack?

I used Dupli-Color Truck Bed Coating.....worked really good they have some texture to them, I had also done my skid plates with this as well and totally made them look awesome...

how do you pop off the toyota logo to paint the center caps and how did you affix them again???

Ahh, this was tricky......on the other side of the center cap, there are 4 prongs, one sticks out and the other three were melted down......get a lighter and with a small flat head screwdriver slide that under the toyota logo a little, with the lighter start burning one of the plastic nubs back there after like 15 secs take the loghter away and it should just start to burn on its own, at that point blow it out and on the other side pry the logo near the one you burned it will pop off then repeat for the other two slowly prying off the logo as you burn, sand down the center cap, paint, and then pop the logo back on, there won't be a lot of the prong left but it will click in there, then just throw some super glue or epoxy over the back side where the prongs all popped back into place.....hope that helps....
