Wheels had some curb rash and scratches from previous owner and had debated on plastidip or just replacing them but decided to paint a dark anthracite color. I love the way they turned out.

I really like the color with your silver 4runner. What brand/color of paint did you use? Did you clear coat?

2 coats duplicolor wheel paint and 2 coats clear

Nice, I just painted my OEM 5 spokes the same color this past weekend.

I wanted to more coats for better protection but it got darker with 2nd coat and didnt want them any darker than they turned out

My wheels are looking rough and I have been thinking about doing this one weekend. What prep steps did you take to have a good finish with the wheels?

Looks great! I plan to do my 03 SE wheels in a similar color to match my cladding. I like this color much better than black.
