I want to fix up the rust on the bottom of my body panels where they meet up with the under body. I also have a little rust on the bottoms of a couple of the doors, and in the step in area which is concealed by a closed door.
So, I was thinking about some kind of black bed liner, rocker panel type stuff, brush-on if possible. I assume it will be a matter of sanding off all rust areas and roughing up the paint in the other areas?
I'm just in search of a little guidance as to what type of **** I may get myself into. I'm consider doing up to the bottom of the flare that's on the door panels.
My biggest worry is about the metal where the body and under body meet up, and too much of it being rotted. What happens when that seam gets up beyond the 1" and branches out in two directions?
