I have the 97 SR5 with the chrome bumpers. After lots of deliberation I've decided I want to paint them. I'd like to get the same paint job as the rest of the car like the limited, but i'm strapped on cash. i'm either thinking of sandblasting it (if i can locate one) or setting a day aside and sanding both front and rear down. I'd like to get it a dark, dull color. At first I contemplated rhino lining the bumpers (my buddy did it on his hummer, including hood scoop, and it looks wicked) but again, not in any shape to pay $500.
I'd like to get it looking just like these stubb's sliders color wise if possible, maybe a little grayer. Any advice on how to approach this, tips, etc would be greatly appreciated.
And in addition, I'll probably be removing the grill to do the same to the chrome border if there's any tips on that. Thanks again.
