painting chrome bumpers

Since no one is replying to my other post I will give it another try. I have heard of people painting their chrome bumpers. What do yall think.

Doing it now

Acetone clean to get off oils, etc.

150 grit sand inside and out. Inside will have surface rust more than likely, mine did.

Primer inside and out. 200 grit sand.

Paint inside flat black.

Primer outside again. 400 grit wet sand.

Ready to paint.

No need for heavy sanding unless rust present. I used a drill with a 2" steel brush attachment to get most of the rust off. Some pics of my incomplete process are on my website.

I'll have some finished product pics up this weekend as the final coat goes on.

Hey thaks but im a 18 year old and not qutie sure if i can do all that. Sounds little bit complicated. if you can give me a little bit more specific instructions if u ever have time. Example what type of paint, where did you get it, etc. I just dont think i can do it all. I dont understand where you guys learn all this crap.
 
im sure youll be fine . i think its a pretty much no brainer...building my back rear bumper wasnt to bad..so..i think this wouldnt..:p . im sure it will look great:D
