3 down, 2 to go. I don't know how anyone can wash, prep, paint them all in one day. it's taken me about 6 hours to just prep these 3. going satin black. stay tuned. more pics to come.

my local powdercoater wanted to charge me 100 per wheel. i'd end up paying more for the powdercoat than the cost of the wheels themselves. i've read good reviews on paint and bad ones. i'm sure a lot of it has to do with the prepping.

i just called around. most were 100 a wheel, one place was 85 per wheel. you got a smokin deal.
the thing about painting them, is its cheap. and if it chips... oh well. not like you paid 100 per wheel for it. ahaha. and you can just touch it up no problem. but its true pending how well you do it is how well it holds up. i am waiting for a good weekend to do mine. but i am going to use the krylon fusion satin black on mine, so that it matches all the other peices i have painted (door handles, some interior, and hatch.)
i would just suggest a clear coat to prevent some chips.
on the other note, THES0FAK1NG, be sure to take lots of in between pics and of course the finished look.

Ended up powder coating them satin black. Ended up paying roughly 70 a wheel.

Yeah, I can't wait to see them on as well. It's not gonna be for a few weeks though. Going out of town for a week or so, then gonna get my toytec spacers swapped out for a full OME setup. I'll post some pics when I get my 33" terra grapplers mounted up.

Here they are wrapped in the TGs.
And here's how she sits. (rear is sagging because all 5 stock rims and 1 full TG spare and rim are back there)
To answer the question about painting the center caps: I used duplicolor wheel paint and I believe duplicator primer (gray).
I removed the emblems and scuffed up the cap with 320 grit automotive sandpaper. Then cleaned them up and hit them with about 2 coats of primer. Wet sanded with 400 grit. Clean. Another 1-2 light coats. Wet sand and clean again. 3 light coats of the black wheel paint. Wet sand. Clean. Then another 2 or so light coats to finish it off. I just finished them up last night. It's not an EXACT match, but it's good enough for me. I tried to just paint them straight up once and they looked HORRENDOUS. You must put all the prep work in (sanding, wet sanding, cleaning) or it might not be a satisfactory result. At least this is what happened to me.

they're 285/70r17 and to be honest, the only rubbing i'm experiencing is against the small triangular piece on the front side of the fender liner. i do have spidertraxx wheel spacers, so that helps.
