Painting Front Valance

I went to the salvage yard this morning and looked for a Limited front valance but they had none. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone has had this painted. My 4Runner is white and the black on the front just looks out of place b/c of the valance.

check out page 61 of the 3rd gen pic gallery at the top of this thread area. there is a guy with a white one looks really good. you cant miss the pictures it has 10" lift. my truck is black and i'm painting mine to match in spring.

I did go by and get some quotes, the lowest I got was about $350 for the valance and the bumper cover. I'm just gonna wait until I can find one in a salvage yard somewhere.

That does look good, but my 4runner has the gray/sliver trim on the running boards and fender flares so I think it will look best if I paint it that same color.

Wow! That seems expensive to me. I would probalby get the rear chrome bumper painted too and I'm sure that would put the price near $500.

You'd get better results from painting a brand newe pice since most valences that have seen miles will have a hard time keeping paint stuck to it for an extended period of time. It's hard to paint old plastic trim.
