The silver in my limited has taken a beating over the yrs and I'm going to smooth and paint it. I'm thinking a metallic silver but darker than current silver or a smoke grey. Whays your suggestions.I have the black wood dash and grey leather seats

nortex, I am currently in the process of painting ALL of the interior silver trim pieces in my T4R. I am using three coats of Auto Air colors "aluminum" with an HVLP gun or Iwata airbrush (depending on part size), followed by a two part 2k Urethane which provides an INCREDIBLE gloss coat and almost indestructible protection. Eastwood Paint now makes a really kick ass two part 2k urethane in a spray can which makes this job so much easier! Good luck!

Ditto

I started to paint mine as well... when I upgraded my sound system.. (since it was all apart anyways) Im going with the Rustolium hammered in a gun metal gray color (I like the textured look):bravo:... and getting rid of as much of that hideous silver as I possibly can. Its a small work in process.

I personally wouldn't go with the gloss. It seems like it would make the glare even worse

Well, I want the new paint to be "nick" proof. Otherwise, I'm afraid that the interior will look pretty scratched up in short time. So far, I'm extremely happy with the 2K gloss finish. It looks way better than the factory finish IMHO.
