Painting my rims

Me and my brother are both thinking about Spray painting our rims black temporarily to see if we like it, then going with powder coating eventually, trying to get some tips of how if possible, if i can paint my rims without rough sanding them, i just want to spray paint them black maybe with a few coats of primer, and if i dont like it i want to be able to take it off without ruining the clear coat on the rim and have them look stock again, thought of maybe using acetone or some paint remover, again just dont want to ruin the rim, is this possible or will the paint be to hard to get off? or will it ruin the surface of the rim in process?? thanks for the help!

he means use plastidip to paint your wheels..... google plastidip rims and you can see a couple of examples of wheels done with plastidip.

how much and does it really last on the rims of a vehicle? I would think being flexible would not last long even if you do some wheeling in rocks?

and is it recomended to do the WHOLE rim with the tires off?
