Painting/Powder coating rims black

I would like to get my stock rims powder coated black; can anyone reconmend a place in san diego?

what is the price range for getting this done??

I called around to local places in SC and the cheapest I could find was $35 per rim.

Powder coating involves baking the rim in the oven, the center caps are plastic, you may be better off painting! Color matching paint to powder coat can be rough!!

Yes, you can.

Yes you can but like I typed it can be hard to match paint and powder coat.

Try Powder 1.....but i would just paint them. I painted mine with the duplicolor wheel paint and they hold up great.

Depends, I panted mine on the truck. flat black did not show on the tire much. it is to the eye of the beholder.

I took mine off that way I could rotate my tires as well. Plus it was easier to paint mine....and much cheaper

Thanks for the info...i'm also going to paint the inside toyota logo red so hopefully it turns out good. (Love the look of red black TRD center piece on the FJ rims!)

Will post pictures when i get this completed and my new tires on! (BFG AT KO's 265 75 16's)

I have a question I also want to paint my stock rims black but dont want to spend alot of money. Im going to do it myself but I dont know what would be the right way to do it. How did u guys paint your rims because I dont want them to look like crap. Thanks everyone
