Painting rims

Alright, I am trying to complete my paint job on my rims (Sequoia rims). They were a little corroded, but i did exilent prep work an primer job. I am painting them black but not sure what KINNA paint to use. I want them to have a glossy look but paint has to be durable any suggestions.

Also i painted my calipers w/VHT caliper paint(VHT SP734 Gloss Black Brake Caliper Paint Can), Can u use this same paint to paint my rims?

dude to avoid any problems, get them powder coated... u will realize that this is the best thing to do... if u spray can them u will find in a little while they will have problems... just warning u now.

Thanks dude, but my truck is a poor man budget, which mean i plan on doing most of the work by myself. I already painted my rotors and drums black and cured them in an oven, Been 10month now and they are still looking great. I plan on doing the same for my rims. I know once its cured it can last for years. Plus i rather put my money in a Lift Kit and nothing cheap i wanna spend around $400-$500 for a 3'' kit any suggestions?

Thanks dude. Engine enamel it is. Did you bake your rims after you painted them? What kinna clear coat did you use. My rims are already primed so i ready to paint. Getting a new camera and hope everything will be done in order too post some pics.

He told me he baked them, before and/or after.

I just baked them a little before spraying so the metal was warm...then I baked after every other coat

I just used Rustoleum flat black because I off road a lot and know my truck isn't going to win any beauty pageants anyways. I used no primer, just cleaned the rims with acetone and soapy water and sprayed 2 coats.

I realize you want yours to look nice and pro so don't take this as advice, I just thought I would add that after 6 months, my crappy paint job is actually holding up quite good. If it starts to chip or whatever, I'll just hit them with the rattle can again. I am thinking of buying some wheels from:

just because they're cheap and I have another set of spring/summer/fall tires to mount soon.
