Painting

Perhaps I'm posting this in the wrong place, if I am I apologize in advance. About 2 weeks ago I got my 88 4Runner (sorry no pics yet) It's painted rattle can flat black, which I don't much care for. Although this is gonna be my fun, lets see what kinda of trail trouble I can get myself into, car; I'd like a better paint job. I'm on a budget and was thinking on doing a rattle can paint job over the black. I'm an avid scale auto builder and get some nice paint jobs through that. but this thing is 25 times bigger then what I'm used to working with. Any suggestions.... Not highly advertised nationwide companies that over talk their work. would be appreciated. If the price is right I don't paying someone to do it, but it does need body work, which is why I thought the rattle can, I've seen some VERY impressive work. :thanks:

do a google search for rustoleum paint jobs...people go to home depot...pick the color and roll it on with a roller....then spend some time wet sanding and buffing to a nice shine...some really impressive lookin cars out there using this technique.

If it's a trail rig, I would go with truck bedliner. It's a much more durable finish than paint. IIRC, there was one (can't remember if it's a Jeep or Toyota) in green, affectionately dubbed avacado.
