Paintscratch.com experience?

I'm looking to paint match my front grill like the OEM limited grills. Paintscratch.com sells paint and clear in spray cans.

Just looking for any experiences Anyones had with their paint in the past and how well it matched. Thanks

What color is yours? I bought their primer, paint and clear and i liked it. The primer applied and laid flat and sanded nicely. The clear wasnt the best but it did the job. The paint itself would have matched nicely but my paint had severely faded.

Id recommend the place and their products. But it all depends on your paint and how possibly faded your paint is.

You can trust their paint, I used it on a red Land Cruiser and it matched perfectly, not typical with red paint.

Bought from them to paint the bumper on my car before. The paint is ok and gave a perfect matching color. Never tried their clear.

I had good success with paintscratch.com before. I think the only flaw is if your oem paint has metallic flakes in it because it is hard to duplicate. And usually it comes out a little duller than oem paint and needs a good buff

Buffing it out to a factory shine is the tough part. Wet sanding with 2000 and then 3000 grit wet-dry sandpaper will get you close, then you can buff with polishing compound. Takes time and elbow grease. Results are directly proportional to time invested.

I did originally. Turned out great but the color was way too dark. Had them resprayed

1. Did you buy the Paintscratch.com "non-metal" paint kit? (see pic below)
1a. If yes, was one kit enough for both fenders?
1b. How difficult was it to do it yourself?
2. Did you have a shop do it the 2nd time?
2a. What did that run you?

I did not buy the kit. I purchased individually. I used one can of primer, paint and clear for each fender. So two of each. You can even go 1.5-2 of clear as you'll need to wet sand and polish to really make it shine.

It wasn't difficult at all, the hardest part was being patient between steps and coats to fully ensure I was doing it right.

I had a shop strip my work and paint it with a custom mix of my color to match my doors. They charged me $450. Well worth it in the end but I wouldn't have had it repainted if the color was closer out of the can. In their defense it's really faded and that's not paint scratches fault.

Last question (not related to paint), but how did you attach the front of your fender to the little piece under the headlight? I am trying to figure out the best way to secure it in place and look clean.

I got it as close to the headlight filler plate as possible but they do not hook together. With the 06 plates like i have now they secure under the headlight and bolt on. So I saw no need.

Also used their paint on my grille and doing touch up on my wife's car. Impressed with the color match and quality.
