That dude on the bike was training to ride The Race Across America(In 12 days max) He left San Diego at 5am and was the top of the Mt. at 1130. Said he would be back in Diego by 4pm for dinner.

Is there an email list or a organization/club to join to keep aware of trail rides? Or just check the SoCa section on here?

A few more months and I want to get out on weekends into nature...and consider doing some upgrades too but I do not know anything about 4runners so would like to meet Toyota guys to start figuring out what sorts of things are needed for trail riding around here. If I do need skids and sliders, CB, etc.

Just stay connected within the forums. You'll learn a lot about cars (specifically 4runners). If you have a question, ask away. There are many guys on here that are more than happy to help you with whatever you need to know.
