Panasonic OEM Battery

I know it's been briefly discussed over the years, but does anyone know if and where you can get an actual Panasonic OEM battery? My Toyota dealer seemed to think they weren't in the 4Runners anymore. So far my 2015 Limited, which has a Panasonic is still good but thought maybe I'd see as they seem to be an outstanding product!

Do the newer 4Runners still use the Panasonic brand?

I never seen anyone being able to purchase a Panasonic branded car battery in America. It's only sold in Japan.

Most car batteries in America are made by either Johnson Controls or East Penn, and then rebranded as Toyota, AC Delco, Interstate, etc....

Find someone upgrading their battery.
My ‘18 had it the Panasonic.

Consider an AGM battery type for replacement instead.

AGM might be good investment. Mine is 3 years old and still have about 75% of life in it (holds charge @ 12.3 volt). I project it will have enough charge to start the truck for 1.5 or even 2 more years. I had some Lead Acid ones going dead in just 2 years (DieHard and Oriley's SuperStart both craped out before 3 year warranty with which I din't bother due to unpredictability).

I got 10 years out of the oem panasonic battery in my 4th gen. No better battery made imo.

Agree! The Panasonic in my 07 lasted 9 years!
