I saw that a lot of people paint grills but on my silver runner i thought it would look good with the center part of the bumper also painted. what do you think?

I've been thinking about doing the exact same thing, in the second pic it looks good!
Did you rattle can that with flat black?

I agree JAC it does look a little like the 5th

4runnerman09,

Paint all the black to body color. I'm actually painting my ghey front chrome grill to body color soon.

There's a member here that's selling his 2004 S/C White Sport 4th Generation. He painted his front lower bumper & rear bumper white to make it match. It was subtle & looks extremely sensational.

paint

Yes i painted it myself. flat black and i used etching primer on sanded paint. I have pics if you want them of the actual painting.. And on the note of blacked out headlights im worried about doing it because my friend with the QX56 tried it and it melted the lens in the oven!!

4runnerman09,

Yes...can you please include pictures!!

Taking apart the headlights & resealing them isn't difficult.

Don't bother...blacked out headlights don't look good. Keep your 4Runner clean & subtle.

I too have an SR5...I want to paint my black mirrors to silver though.

Wow....he problaby set the oven too high ...as far as I know you shouldn't put it higher than 250 degrees.. But if you are affraid of doing it you can buy them already blackedout. And I am not talking about Halos like mines, but the aftermarket same as stock but blacked out...they run around $275 or so..

I looked through my pics and i cant find those pics. i have pics of nav install subs. fog light mod. i can do a write up with pics of supplies if you want?

LOL what are you talking about man? Blacked out headlights look sick, a lot better than the chrome..

I'm gonna have to disagree and say negative, it looks extremely badass the way it is!

Now you need to blackout those headlights ASAP!....

I agree, like the look of blacked out headlights, especially on a silver vehicle.

Second time I'm agreeing with JAC in this post, scary! jk

No wonder they call it an armada, that thing is a beast.
