I'm sorry to be another build thread. But I'll do my best to make it even a fraction as entertaining as lawndarts...

Well she is finally home. After a lot of last minute haggling and some abuse on my Trade. My RR sport is gone and my cement pro in its place.

I waited 18 months ~ for her. I ordered a 2016 in magnetic gray. However just before arrival Toyota announced the cement color. I reluctantly and tediously walked away from my order. In hopes that Toyota would actually build this color.

I opted to give a luxo barge a run for a year and honestly I loved it. But I always missed my runner. (This is my fourth) I also hated how people looked at me in the RR. As a business owner it's a weird thing.

I have some plans for it. Like most I suspect it will start out small.

Phase one: immediate
Southern slim bumper w/ Baja lights and warn Zeon winch in
Pelfrey sliders in black
Gobi slimline
Still comparing radflo kit from sso to IVD stage 5
SCS RAY 10s and (undecided tires)

Phase two: 2018
Plate rear (wish for sso)
Led upgrades to rack and interior
Interior storage buildout.

Phase 3: beat the piss out of it like toyotas are meant to be.

I'm a hobbyist photographer and getting older. I plan to take a one month overland trip each calendar year and that is her purpose.

its all personal of course but my first easy mods were dipin the roof rails and rear chrome.

Im going to take them completely off in exchange for a rack. I however park in a parking garage, and have to wait on clearance with new tires, and suspension before I can decide on rack. So impatience will likely make me dip them. Honestly can't stand them.. Or the logos.

As for the power, yes. Its definitely been the hardest thing getting used to. The v6 in general. Even my last Runner was a v8 and although the power was the same as now, it just felt so much better, solid, strong. Ill survive. Its sufficient. But i do miss the 8.. Along with some other RR fluff items, heated windshield, cooled seats, folding mirrors, air suspension, etc etc.. Except all those nice things are repair bills waiting to happen.

Trust me I know! It was already allocated this way. Had I ordered I would have chosen not to. Its ok I suppose. They are coming off next week.

Thank you! Did you just use "plasti-dip" or another brand? I was thinking of having my logos satin wrapped. I saw this before it gives it a sort of titanium finish, or wrapped black. I didn't really think of plasti-dip.

I hear ya on the logos, surprised they added the tailgate logo this year. one of my first mods along with the rails n rear chrome was to debadge completely. Then I decided it was too naked on the side so I rebadged a little differently and like it much more than factory.
