Do you have an itinerary for the trip? If not, I can start on one, let me know.

Koz

Not really. We'll have to leave around 6am though. After that, we'll just play it by ear.

I drained the batteries on the talkabouts and recharged them so they should be good. I'll bring a few sets of rechargeables too. (wouldn't need them if someone had a CB :p)

Oh... and I got my explorist 600. Very nice. I have paragon marked and routed :D.

Bobby,

I'll bring some AA batteries just in case. What's up with 6am, the ride doesn't start till 10am. Doesn't matter we could get there early and catch some breakfast.

You have to be there by 8:30am to sign in and whatever. If you're late, they send you home.

Don't worry about the batteries. I have enough rechargeables.

We can meet at my house at 6am.

I just got the confirmation from Paragon, looks like we have to sign-in BEFORE 8:30am. I think we should leave at 5:30am, to get there at 8:00am.

Ouch.

What the hell... we have V8s... we'll just drive faster :D.

Ok. I'll be at your place by 5:30am.

Holy crap that was fun.

I got a few scars to remember Paragon but that was mostly from careless lines I took rather than the trails. Koz got thru with no scars but he was too conservative. :D

I'll have pics up later but here's a teaser... (me, Doug in a Heep GC, Koz)

Ok, here we go.

We started out at 5:30am at Koz's house, then went for some coffee. Hit the road by 6am and got to Paragon by 8am. It was pretty easy to find and get to. The turn in is a dirt road the goes over a hill and then down into the parking lot which is a rocky, dirt parking lot. The place was infested with Jeep wranglers, many of them were Rubicons and most weren't stock.

We headed into the office to sign up and get our flags (the red ones that are everywhere). We got our flags and went back to the parking lot to air down to about 25 psi and headed out to the staging area down the trail. This trail is a tase of what's to come.

We got to the staging area where a trail guide asked us what we're looking for. I said, "this dirt trail looks good." He sent us to the first group (beginners). :D

Enough yapping and on with the pics...

First mini break. Somehow my camera's mode switched and most of the pics came out with a bluish tint. I used photoshop to try to balance the color.

Monster Titan with a 6" lift and 35" tires on a 20" wheel.

Found on a Land Rover Freelander. Oh the irony. This little Freelander was about 5" off the ground and did extremely well on the ride.
