Parasitic Battery

Wondering if any of you guys can help me,

I have searched online for the fuse for the open door light for the rear trunk.
I couple of months ago it seemed like I broke my trunk wire/latch, when the car is off the car door light is still on, on the dash.The trunk does close but I have to fiddle with the handle for a bit till it actually closes. but it still says its still open, I know its the trunk latch because the rear dome light stays on, that's why I have to put the switch on "off" the trunk still shuts and locks, that's why I just want to take out the light so it doesn't eat at my new battery.

Sorry, it isn't that simple. The indicator light is powered by the Body ECU, which gets a signal from the Back Door ECU, via serial data. The Back door ECU gets ground from the back door courtesy switch, inside the back door. you would have to bypass that switch to make the Back door ECU think it's closed. If you pull the Dome lamp fuse the light will go out, but so will a lot of functions including but not limited to the dome lamp circuit.

As with any rear gate electric weirdness, it behooves you to check the harness between the liftgate and the body for broken wires or split insulation, a common issue after 12-18 years of flexing every time the back is opened.

ahh dang, ill probably have to open up the back trunk see if there are any wires broken or anything then, you guys know of nay diagrams I can use to figure my way through the trunk? or where in the right place im suppose to lookin the trunk
