Hello everyone - I am very close to ordering a limited with nav & 3rd row sets. I have seen toyota's video on park rear assist which states is on some select models. Does the limited have it? thanks.

Are you talking about the rear sonor or backup camera? The sonor is standard on every vehicle and I believe the backup camera is standard on the limited.

According to my borchure the 'rear clearance sonar' is 'S' (standard) on the SR5 and "-" (not available) on the Trail or Limited.

The 'Back up camera' is Standard on the Trail & SR5, the figure with the camera you do not need the sonar.

I opted for the optional back up camera in the mirror for my SR5 so I have both. The camera in the mirror cuts off just shy of the outside of the bumpers, even shows that in the manual, so the sonar adds a little more help if you ever need it.

Weirdly, sonar is only on the SR5.

Trail Edition and Limited have cameras available either with or without the navi.

So I guess they decided camera then you don't need a sonar and if you get sonar you don't get a camera....

Stupid IMHO -- I have both on the Armada and way prefer that. Yes a much bigger vehicle, but having both is the way to go

It's super easy to park with the backup camera. Often I scare the car behind me when parallel parking. They think I'm going to hit them backing up and start honking like no tomorrow. :roadkill:

It also works flawlessly for hooking up a trailer...what a pleasure!

I did have the rear sonar on my Nissan Titan, and although I've always driven trucks I have to admit I kinda miss that feature.

Do you need a little valet guy to pop out and give you hand signals too? :jk:

I know you are kidding, but if we look at it from a serious point - there are enough people that have backed over their kids, grandkids, friends kids and killed them that it is not a funny subject. The backup camera and sonars are there for a reason and while I hate the beeping for seatbealt use, beeping for leaving the car door open etc etc I do like the sonar and backup camera. If it just once stops me from backing into someone I missed when I looked in all the mirrors then it is well worth the money I paid extra to the manufacturer because of this feature.....

Did you also have the lines painted on the backup camera (that is standard now I think for Nissan backup camera and is a very cool feature)

nope...never heard of it though it sounds cool! My Titan didn't have the Nav/Backup cam..just the sonar.

My prior before the 4Runner, Mazda Cx-9, had the back up cam...thats were I got "hooked"...lol.

Sure beats the old days of trying to explain to the better half everytime about lining up the ball. I'm lucky that the ball sticks out great in the camera veiw..and although the trailer is small..it has a long tongue, making it a bit easier.

So OT -- the Armada / Titannow with backup camera (it might be on other Nissan models) have a line that goes out on the left and right side on the display when backup is in progress. Not only does it show where the sides of your car is, but it is also color coded in green, yellow and red / pink to show you how close you are to what you are backing up to.

Really cool feature.

I think some Lexus models have the lines, but not colors, but could be wrong

The 2010 Buick LaCrosse has the lines that moves as your turn the steering wheel to show you what direction the car will take based on steering wheel angle.

Hehe, I think at this point we're asking for a little too much. IMO, for people who needs that much guidance, then the Lexus and Prius' Intelligent Park Assist would be best. Sit, tap, drag, press ok, put your foot over the brake and let the car work it's magic. :bravo:

I wasn't asking for that much just saying it exists in other models.

The SR5 has sonar, the Limited has backup camera -- all I am saying it would have been nice if they kept the sonar despite the backup camera - that is what I am asking for (but shall not receive :) )

I know...

I'm looking at it from the perspective of having the camera is more than enough. I mean we parked ok, without backup cameras. Anything on top of that is an extra bonus, IMO. I do say though the front camera the LX570 and GX460 has is sweet. I guess we desire different feature sets, sort of like for some an aux/USB input in the radio is enough, while others want Bluetooth audio streaming too.
