Most vehicles parking lights double as turn signals, not so for our 4R's though. What do you think the potential is for switching/rewiring the turn signals to activate the amber parking lights on the sides of the headlights? Would that interfere with the relay or sensors that let you know when a bulb is burnt out?
I happen to live in a state (MA) where they require your signals to be amber, other than that I would just swap out the DRL like others have done already here. I know a few people who have been given a hard time because either they swapped their lenses for clear or their bulb around the area.
I have a feeling this would be more hassle than it is worth, but if one wanted to stay legal and run clear/white DRL the only way.
